Kayleigh Gray

Cinematic representations and ideology of youthful femininity and loss of innocence have always interested me, so Kubrick’s Lolita and Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides were hugely influential in my collection. The films illustrate how adolescence and loss of innocence can be an unspoken breakdown in young women, girls being stuck between being a child and a woman, creating a coy, girlish sexuality.

Thank you to my mum, dad, grandma, sister & dog for their love and support.
